Italian laws (L. 608/99 and L. 264/49) establish the obligation for companies to communicate hiring, changes and terminations of employment relationships to the Provincial Employment Centres.
The law of 27 December 2006 n° 296, art. 1, paragraphs 1180-1185, extends the obligations of communication also to:

  • project work and associate participation;
  • training and orientation internships and other similar work experiences;
  • transfer and posting of the worker;
  • change of company name;
  • transfer or merger of company or branch thereof

The obligation of communication also concerns agricultural work, public bodies and public administration.

The effect of the communication is also extended to the fulfillment of obligations towards the regional and provincial labor directorates, the national social security institute, the national institute for insurance against accidents at work, or other social security forms substitute or exclusive, and also against the Prefecture - Territorial Government Office.

The Piedmont Region participates in the "Single Digital Gateway" project as required by EU Regulation 2018/1724 on the Single Digital Gateway
